 Driving or coming from Halifax airport, enter the city of Halifax via Hwy 102 southbound. - Follow the 102 southbound towards Halifax. Highway directions are often posted or described as Inbound (towards the city) or Outbound (away from the city).
- The 102 divides shortly after the airport-do not take the route for Halifax and Dartmouth via Bridges but veer to your right for the continuation of the 102.
- Continue on the 102 southbound into Halifax until you see the 1D exit (follows immediately after the 1A exit) for Dunbrack Street and Northwest Arm Drive.
- Exit and follow for Northwest Arm Drive, turning right. You will also be following for Herring Cove, Sambro Rte 349.
- Continue past all traffic lights until you come to a "T" intersection.
- Turn left at the stop light.
- Go a short distant till the first stoplight.
- Turn right at this stoplight, and you are now on the Herring Cove Road in the community of Spryfield (you may want to pick up groceries here).
- You are heading in a southeasterly direction.
- Continue on the Herring Cove Road, which will eventually turn into Ketch Harbour Road.
- Continue to follow south (RTE 349) on Ketch Harbour Road and this will lead you directly to the cottage.
- You will pass several small communities named Bear Cove, Halibut Bay and Portuguese Cove before coming to Ketch Harbour. The view of the ocean is exquisite on your left!
- You will come into the community of Ketch Harbour. Follow to number 1151, which will come up on your right shortly past the harbour.
- The driveway is the last one on your right, before Mountain Hill Road.
